Food pyramid is a pyramid shape guide of healthy foods divided into section to show the recommend intake for each food group. We must eat according to the pyramid in order to stay healthy. Consuming a healthy diet ensures that your body and brain to receive all the nutrients in order for it to work properly. Food intake must be flexible because no single food can supply all the nutrients needed by the body.
Food Pyramid & My Plate
According to the pyramid, the bottom parts is carbohydrates which is we need to consume 6-11 servings. Example for carbohydrates is bread, cereal, rice and pasta. Carbohydrates gives us energy so that we can keep energetic.

The second parts is fruits and vegetables group which is gives us vitamin in our body. For this group, we need to takes 2-5 servings.

For the next stage, it is protein which is milk, yogurt, meat, eggs and others. This type of food we need to consume at least 2-3 servings because it is good for repair our damage skin and for our growth. Each protein has a specific function.

Next, at the top of the pyramids, we need to take it less which is 0-3 servings because its consists a lot of fat and oil which is not very good to our body. However, we still need to consume it.

In order to stay healthy, it is important for each of us to take the balance diet and eat according to the food pyramid. Even though, we still need to go for exercise and eating wisely to get a good posture of body. At least go for a jogging 2-3 times a week, so fat in our body can be burn and we can avoid a serious illness.
